A growing manufacturing company in Kent are currently looking to recruit a new Buyer to their small team.
Your role will include:
- Taking responsibility for ensuring the timely and cost effective procurement of components and raw materials.
- Support the wider supply chain team to maintain material availability, support production schedules and drive supplier performance
- Create, issue and manage purchase orders for direct materials
- Maintain accurate supplier and lead time data
- Review material demand and planned production requirements to ensure appropriate stock levels
- Support inventory optimization initiatives.
- Take a role in maintaining robust supplier relationships
- Support continuous improvements projects
