We are supporting a growing manufacturing organisation based in Kent to help them recruit a Supplier Quality Manager.
This is a newly created greenfield opportunity so a fantastic chance to build process and systems to drive Supplier Quality for the business.
Your responsibility will include:
  • Develop and implement robust supplier quality processes, ensuring incoming materials and components consistently meet Group requirements.
  • Lead on specification development, supplier quality standards, NCR management and corrective action to drive measurable improvements in supplier capability, consistency and reliability.
  • Consolidate existing specifications and work with internal functions and suppliers to develop clear, controlled and practical specifications that define quality expectations and support effective incoming inspection.
  • Build and maintain a structured specification database that provides clear acceptance criteria for incoming QC inspections and clear quality requirements for suppliers.
  • Support production efficiency through reducing defects, improving material quality and supporting the transition of capable suppliers towards certificate of conformity based supply.
  • Work closely with Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Product Development / Engineering, Production and Warehousing, the role supports a more proactive, data driven and best practice approach to supplier quality management.
This position will suit an enthusiastic SQ Engineer or SQ Developer who wants to take the next step in their career and contribute to the build of a fit for purpose Supplier Quality function.
Suitable candidate will be based in Kent or South East London and will be able to work 4/5 days onsite. You must also have UK right to work.
